EARLY POUPEE RAYNAL ALL ORIGINAL
Attendo i vostri commenti.
I want to share with you a very rare doll made in France, from the factory Poupèes Raynal. This is not the usual Raynal doll you can find on the market, with typical standard features, but one of the first patterns, characterized by: large hand painted side glancing eyes, small mouth, chubby cheeks, real mohair wig, felt molded head and cloth hard stuffed body, small hands in comparison with doll size. The outfit is all original and antique, dated early 1900. I could identify this museal doll after a long research, reading an article on Antique doll collector magazine. Do you like this French child? Your comments will be welcome.

FRENCH & ITALIAN CLOTH DOLLS NICETTE MAGIS
From my collection of cloth dolls some ethnic French dolls wearing the typical costume of Nice (the smallest one is a Poupèe Nicette), with papier mache head and stuffed body. In addition a wonderful Magis Roma doll dressed in the costume of Cortina, perfectly preserved and in her original cardbord box, very difficult to find. Finally an old captain in felt with detailed molded head, smoking a wooden pipe, and holding a red strip in his hand with writing G. Marconi. Based on my reasearch this was the name of an Italian cruise boat, as sailor dolls were purchased by passangers to remember their voyages...

CERAMIC FIGURES made in GERMANY by GOEBEL DOGS & CHILDREN
I want to share with you a small delicious collection of figurines made in Germany by the well known Goebel factory (all exept the first one on the left, a group of two bisque dogs). A ceramic dog with a metal fly on his paw, marked Stae 4, created by the artist Albert Staehle, who loved representing his beloved dog Butch. Two children with hat, one pensive marked Rock 208 and the other one resting marked Rock 202, both signed Norman Rockwell, who worked with Goebel factory in the early 60s to produce a line of 17 figurines in limited edition, today much sought after. Last, a stunning googly large dog with egg shaped container, from the deco period, with old crown mark. This is a very rare pice, may be unique.

RARE JOKER MALE DOLL by LILLI BAITZ
This is really a rare piece...a stunning male character doll, a joker with wax over compo detailed sculptured head, stuffed felt body with a sort of wire frame, and original tag still attached! This hard to find doll has about 100 years but is like new, being always kept in a closed cabinet. I have never seen a similar doll in many years, as Lilli Baitz artist usually molded female half doll busts.

BLACK BRAZILIAN DOLLS by JOAO PEROTTI & HOLZER
A jungle corner in my house, from Brazil to Italy here are shown two black all felt dolls in different size made in S. Paulo by Holzer & Cia factory, and a rare topsy turvy doll marked Joao Perotti, who also worked in Italy with Lenci artists. Some animals are resting all around...a young hand painted lion, a felt giraffe, an old all felt chimp with beard probably made by Nora Wellings, and a lovely lime green felt tiny monkey wishing to eat his banana! Dolls and small animals have been produced in the early 20s-30s.
