Quality Lency type doll, all felt body, jointed limbs, mohair wig in strips, hand painted eyes and small heart shaped mouth, typical of Messina Vat dolls created in the 30s by a small factory competitor with Lenci in Turin.
I'm back after a long period devoted to work...I'm glad to show you part of my collection of costume dolls by Baitz in typical regional outfits with accessories. Papier mache heads, handpainted features, mohair wigs, stuffed bodies with metal wire. Production made in the 50s. Well preserved and tagged.
I would like to thank all my Italian and foreign readers for their interest in the blog that I take care of since a few months, for the comments and suggestions proposed, and for the appreciation and continued growth. I hope other antique doll collectors will decide to open a window on the world to share their collection or if you want to display just some of your dolls I will be happy to publish your photos on the blog! If my site looks interesting to you, please subscribe to the readers list, and if you decide to follow in public I will be able to see you and know that you have visited and browsed a few pages. I hope you have spent some pleasant time in the fantastic world of vintage dolls .....
