BOUDOIR HALF DOLL in PORCELLANA CON ABITO ORIGINALE GERMANY 30s

Non ho mai tempo da dedicare alla mia passione per le bambole, e quindi di pubblicare qualche post nuovo, ma sono ancora qui....

Dalla mia collezione personale un'incantevole half doll completa di vestito d'epoca, tutto originale, con la funzione di copriteiera, il busto è in porcellana, con parrucca modellata da damina. Il viso ha un'espressione sognante con lineamenti dipinti, nasino perfetto, le braccia sono staccate dal busto.

ORIGINE: questa bambola boudoir e stata prodotta in Germania attorno al 1930. CONDIZIONE: usata in ottime condizioni, il vestito giallo è tutto originale. L'intelaiatura metallica è rivestita di filato lavorato anche all'interno, ben conservato. DIMENSIONI: 28 cm in altezza, di cui 8 cm il busto della half doll.

RARA BAMBOLA LENCI PRIMO TIPO TUTTA IN FELTRO CAPELLI MOHAIR CORPO TODDLER CON PANCIA

 

Dopo una lunga pausa senza pubblicazioni, eccomi ancora tra voi. Alla vostra attenzione una rara bambola Lenci molto antica, come si nota dalle sopracciglia a puntino, i primi modelli della Scavini venivano disegnati in questo modo. La bimba è tutta in pannolenci, con un bellissimo corpo toddler con il pancino, braccia e gambe articolate, altezza circa cm 37, lineamenti dipinti con sguardo sorpreso, capelli rossi ricci in vero mohair. La bambola presenta segni di usura compatibili con il tempo, piccoli buchetti anche ricuciti o scoloriture, macchioline, ma niente di serio, complessivamente è in buone condizioni, anche se penso che possa essere stata abilmente restaurata (parrucca, abito). Indossa un vestito in panno coordinato con le scarpine, e con il fiocco in testa, calzini e biancheria direi originale. Acquistata negli Stati Uniti è rimasta circa 10 anni nella mia collezione. Assolutamente da non perdere!

RARE ENGLISH BOUDOIR PAJAMA BAG DOLL 20s FARNELL or NORA WELLINGS

From my personal collection a lovely boudoir doll with wigged molded felt head and cloth velvet body, in the shape of a night dress case or pajama bag. The head has a lovely expression with hand painted brown flirty eyes,  and a smiling red mouth showing teeth, pierced ears with large round metal earrings, black mohair wig, the body is made of stuffed velvet yellow and black adorned with a zig zag satin insert, she also wears a velvet removable hat and an original necklace in red pearls (some are inside the pajama bag and need to be reset). She has small funny feet.

MARK: I think the doll has been manufactured by Farnell's Alpha Toys or Nora Wellings, the pattern is rare and difficult to find.

SIZE: the lady is approx 56 cm ( 22 inches) high.

ORIGIN: this boudoir doll is made in England, around 1920.

CONDITION: used, need a little cleaning, some minor wear due to age.  SOLD

COPRITEIERA BOUDOIR HALF DOLL by LILLI BAITZ MARCATA KATE Germany 20s

Dalla mia collezione personale un'incantevole half doll completa di vestito d'epoca, con la funzione di copriteiera, il busto è in composizione cerata, con parrucca color rosso rame ed intelaiatura in metallo con abito originale. Il viso ha un'espressione sognante con lineamenti dipinti, le braccia sono in biscuit.

MARCHIO: sulla schiena è marcata Baitz e Kate (il nome è parzialmente coperto dal vestito), infatti i busti di dimensioni maggiori creati dall'artista Lilli Baitz avevano sempre un nome di donna, e Kate è un modello raro e difficile da reperire.

ORIGINE: questa bambola boudoir e stata prodotta in Germania attorno al 1920.

CONDIZIONE: usata e con segni del tempo, il vestito rosso originale è scolorito, restauro visibile del naso ben eseguito (sarebbe opportuno dipingerlo nel colore appropriato), come mostrato dalle foto. L'intelaiatura metallica è di forma irregolare. Anche se complessivamente questa bambola non è nelle migliori condizioni, penso sia comunque un pezzo di valore, vista la rarità del soggetto e le quotazioni delle bambole Baitz sempre in crescita. I bustini nudi sono quotati attorno ai 300 euro mentre le bambole complete valgono sul mercato oltre 1000 euro!!!

RARE LARGE CLOTH NORWEGIAN DOLL by RONNAUG PETTERSSEN

From my personal collection a lovely ethnic doll with original regional outfit. Papier mache felt head is well sculpted, hand painted features are well preserved, stuffed cloth body, intricate outfit is complete and elaborate, metal ornament and beads.

MARK: this doll was created by the artist Ronnaug Petterssen.

SIZE: the lady is approx 33 cm ( 13 inches) high.

ORIGIN: this cloth doll is made in Norway, around 1930.

CONDITION: yellowing due to age on the white antique cotton apron and shirt, the mohair hair is quite fragile, some glue residue (hat is glued on head), slight tear on one ear, would benefit some attention, used doll as shown in photos.

Rare doll, difficult to find in this size, as most of Ronnaug Petterssen dolls were smaller, in the range of 6-7 in. SOLD

CUNEO MUSEUM

A unique wonderful book called VESTIRE LA TRADIZIONE, BAMBOLE ETNOGRAFICHE LENCI DEL MUSEO CIVICO DI CUNEO, 1986 edition, Out Of Print, hardcover, in excellent used condition, 138 pages of wonderful colour photos of Lenci children dressed in precious ethnic outfits. The civic Museum in Cuneo bought these dolls from Lenci factory in 1934 and arranged to dress them with intricate traditional costumes unique for colours, details, accessories, representing the typical dresses of people living on the mountains around Cuneo and Turin. In this volume you will often find couples of Lenci dolls in traditional wedding outfits, or lovely Lenci child girls - 300 pattern - dressed in regional festal clothes.
This is a must have for the Lenci collector, antique dolls are represented in traditional outfits never seen before! Very hard to find book on the market. ART NOUVEAU ENGLISH CERAMIC FLOWER VASE

Directly from my collection of antique art ceramics, an outstanding English flower vase, collar base, double handled typical of art nouveau style, in a rare glazed celadon colour, in good conditions, some wear as expected from an old piece from 1920s.
Dimension: oval shape 19 x 8 cm large ( approx 8 x 3,5 in ) and 11 cm high (just over 4 in).
Mark: the bowl is signed on the bottom HO ENGLAND 4502 L, impressed.

BAMBOLA CHARACTER IN FELTRO LENCI TYPE 30s FELT DOLL

Dalla mia collezione personale di bambole antiche in panno degli anni 30 ecco a voi una rara bambola character, il personaggio sembra una bambina spagnola in abiti da torero, con il corpo tutto in feltro imbottito, la testa che gira è in un materiale che non riesco a definire, gli occhi dipinti e con lineamenti ricamati, il volto ornato da una deliziosa parrucca in vero mohair, indossa un copricapo in raso e pizzo modellato come una coccarda.

La bambola ha una buffa espressione di sorpresa e porta il suo abito originale in feltro e cotone antico, il costume è molto elaborato, i tessuti sono d'epoca con piccoli bottoni di madreperla sulla camiciola, e due grandi bottoni antichi in metallo ai polsi della giacca in pannolenci.

Origine: probabilmente di provenienza spagnola, ma non escludo che possa essere tedesca.

Epoca: antica bambola artistica di qualità, creata negli anni 1930.

Condizione: buone, usato con alcuni piccoli buchetti negli abiti in feltro, compatibili con l'età della bambola.

Dimensione: circa 37 cm di altezza, piuttosto pesante.

Questa bimba in panno starà perfettamente in una collezione di bambole Lenci type, non perdetela!!!

ANTIQUE FELT SPANISH ARTIST DOLL

From my personal collection of antique Lenci type felt and cloth dolls, a rare character doll, a Spanish female matador with an hard stuffed all felt body, head turns but I'm not sure of the material, hand painted eyes and sewn features, lovely mohair wig ornate with a satin and lace hair dress. The doll has a funny surprised expression and wears its original felt and cotton outfit, very intricate and made of antique tissue with small pearl buttons and two large antique metal buttons on the felt jacket at the wrists.

Origin: more likely made in Spain ( or Germany ?).

Age: antique quality doll, created in the years 1930.

Condition: excellent used, some small holes on the felt, as expected from an old doll.

Size: approx 15 in (37 cm) high, quite heavy doll.

She will display perfectly in a collection of Lenci type felt dolls!!!

CLOTH DOLLS BAMBOLE IN STOFFA LENCI & KATHE KRUSE LIBRO RARO GREAT PHOTOS

Una rara pubblicazione da non perdere per il collezionista di bambole Lenci e Lenci type, e per coloro che amano le bambole antiche in tessuto di origine tedesca (Kathe Kruse, Steiff...), inglese (Chad Valley, Norah Wellings ...), Francese (Paris Mignon, Ravča ...), americana (Chase, Bruckner...), 128 pagine di splendide foto per la maggior parte in bianco e nero, alcune a colori, testo in inglese. La selezione di foto che ho scelto è solo una piccola parte della sezione relativa alla fabbrica Lenci, sono raffigurati modelli rari difficilmente fotografati in altri testi. Un simile approfondimento è riservato alla produzione di bambole dell'artista Kathe Kruse. A wonderful OOP book called CLOTH DOLLS, a collector’s guide by Rustm, 1980 edition 128 pages, hardcover with dust jacket in good used condition, some wear due to age. Even if the book covers cloth dolls in general, it is mostly pointed on two particular factories, Italian Lenci and German Kathe Kruse dolls. Two sections are devoted to these cloth and felt dolls and you can find lots of rare stunning b/w and colour photos never seen in other publications. Here are principal contents:

§ 1 – Frau Kathe Kruse and the Kruse dolls
§ 2 – Madame Lenci and the Lenci dolls
§ 3 – Dolls made in America and England
§ 4 – Advertising dolls and flat stuffed dolls varieties

ART DECO CERAMIC TRAY DISH DIAMOND SHAPE GEOMETRIC DESIGN MADE IN ITALY 40s

At your consideration a very deco fashion dish, unusual shape as a rhomb or lozenge, geometric pattern in two shades of green colour, marble motif, 4 little feet all perfect, dimensions: 29 cm long ( approx 11,6 inches), 14 cm large (approx 5,6 in), in excellent conditions, no chips or cracks or damage of any kind.
I bought this nice pottery tray next to Faenza, in Italy, so I suppose it is a piece of artistic ceramic produced by a local manufacture around 1940, Lenci era, but I can’t exclude this nice bowl was made in Germany…so you decide looking photos! A great addition for any collector of art deco items!!!

PARRUCCHE N.3 PER BAMBOLE ANTICHE E VINTAGE

Per completare bambole antiche o vintage prive di capelli, per il collezionista o per chi ripara le bambole, uno splendido lotto di n. 3 parrucche, acquistate negli USA (le misure sono in inches, tenete presente che 1 in = 2,5 cm). Le chiome hanno un colore diverso, che copre le varie tonalità del biondo. Nel dettaglio:

1. parrucca dai capelli sciolti con boccoli, nuova con cartellino marcata IMSCO Highest fashion doll wig, size 12;

2. parrucca capelli raccolti con nastro di pizzo, nuova con etichetta marca Bell quality doll wig, size 13-14;

3. parrucca con boccoli laterali, frangetta, e chignon fermato da fiori, usata ma bellissima, la mia preferita (capelli molto soffici), taglia non precisata (forse size 12).

La parrucca 1. marca IMSCO è marcata synthetic fiber, la 2. marca BELL è invece in Modacrylic fiber, la 3. è di una fibra più soffice e delicata, potrebbe essere mohair ma non sono sicura, dal momento che manca il cartellino. Le tre parrucche sono davvero deliziose e adatte sia a bambole antiche che a bambine vintage tipo Furga o simili.

Un affare trovare queste parrucche già in Italia, dato che le regole doganali spesso rendono difficoltoso l'acquisto di questi articoli dall'estero...

PERRUQUES POUR POUPEES ANCIENNES

Pour compléter poupées anciennes ou antiques, sans cheveux, pour le collectionneur ou pour ces qui sont expert de réparations des poupées, un merveilleux lot de n 3 perruques, achetés aux États-Unis (rappelez-vous que les tailles sont en inches, et 1 in = 2,5 cm). Les cheveux ont une couleur différente, qui couvre les différentes nuances de blond. Dans le détail:


1. perruque aux cheveux avec des boucles amples, nouvelle, marquée IMSCO perruque poupée de haut mode, taille / size 12;

2. perruque de cheveux avec ruban en dentelle, nouvelle, une étiquette avec la marque Bell perruque de poupée de qualité, taille / size13-14;

3. perruque à bouclettes, avec la frange, chignon et arrêté par les fleurs, utilisée mais très beau, mon préféré (cheveux très doux), taille non précisée (probablement size 12).

matériel: La perruque 1. marque IMSCO est en fibre synthétique, le 2. marque Bell est la place de fibre modacrylique, le 3. est d'une fibre plus délicat, il pourrait être en mohair mais je ne suis pas sûr, car il n'ya pas d'étiquetage.

Une aubaine trouver ces perruques déjà en Europe, étant donné que la réglementation douanière font qu'il est souvent difficile d'acheter ces articles à l'étranger ...

DOLCISSIMA BIANCANEVE BAMBOLA ARTISTICA 60s

Raramente propongo bambole vintage, a meno che non colpiscano la mia immaginazione....questa Biancaneve sorridente dagli occhi blu in vetro e dalla pelle di porcellana, con corpo imbottito, è quindi un'eccezione, e anche se databile anni 60 fa mostra di sè tra altre bambole antiche senza sfigurare.

SWEET SNOW-WHITE ARTIST DOLL

From my personal collection of vintage dolls, a lovely Snow-white doll in bisque porcelain (head and shoulderplate and limbs), on a stuffed body. She has a delicate expression, blue side glancing glass eyes, hand painted red mouth with upper teeth, black hair, and she wears an intricate complete costume, all in cotton and lace, and underwear. The head and arms are movable and can be posed.

Origin: made in USA from a talent doll artist, probably in the 1960s.

Condition: excellent face details and painting, perfect without chips or any kind of damage as shown in photos.

Dimension: good size, approx 16 in (40 cm) high.


VINTAGE TRES DOUX BLANCHE-NEIGE EN BISCUIT PORCELAINE POUPEE D'ARTISTE


De ma collection de poupées anciennes je vous offre cette belle Blanche-neige tout droit sorti d'un film de Disney, en face curieux et souriant. La tête, les épaules et les bras sont en porcelaine biscuit, le corps est bourré. La poupée a une expression faciale enchanteur et délicat, avec des yeux de verre bleu que regarder de côté, la bouche peinte en rouge d'une manière parfaite avec les dents du haut, les noirs cheveux avec un ruban rouge. Elle est vêtue d'une robe faite de plusieurs couches de tissu de coton, avec chemise, gilet, jupe à rayures multicolores de fleurs et de rubans, jupons, sous-vêtements de coton blanc et un pantalon garni de dentelles. La tête peut prendre des positions diverses, y compris pencher sur les côtés, les bras peuvent être légèrement plié.

Source: acheté aux États-Unis et créé par un artiste, sans doute dans les années 60. Je l'ai vu publié dans un magazine, qui, malheureusement, je ne trouve pas ayant beaucoup de publications ....

Condition: Excellent détail et de fabrication de la face, parfaite dans les parts en biscuit porcelaine, comme sur la photo.

Taille: environ 40 cm de haut.

Une jolie perruque de poupée de style fait à main, marque Global dolls, le modèle Downel, taille 24 cm, couleur blonde fraise, nouve avec sa boîte d'origine et du papier. Les cheveux sont coiffés en une grosse tresse et est fermée par un doux noeud de satin rose antique, et a une frange frisée délicieux.

NORTHWOOD CUSTARD GLASS INVERTED FAN & FEATHER 1900 RARO VETRO ANTICO

NORTHWOOD CUSTARD GLASS LARGE TUMBLER INVERTED FAN & FEATHER 1900, over 100 YEARS OLD!!!

You are bidding on a rare authentic custard glass tumbler made around 1900 by Northwood Factory, during the pre carnival glass period, bought some years ago in the USA from an old custard glass collector.

Condition: Pattern is called Inverted fan and feather, the colour is warmly translucent to the light, in EXCELLENT condition, no chips cracks or damage of any kind, Pink colour perfect and Gold decoration intact at 90%!!!! (see photos). This pattern also had a limited production in pink slag glass, and later revived in opalescent and carnival glass novelties.

Reference: this old glass is represented on page 20 of the Encyclopedia of Victorian Pattern Glass Book 4 – Custard glass from A to Z, by William Heacock.

A wonderful addition to any collection of custard, opalescent, vaseline, opaline, EAPG, pressed press molded and art glass!

From my personal collection, an unusual child character doll, I think he can be a gnome or elf, with hard stuffed body on a wire frame, posable, with bisque or wax over composition sculptured head, feet are made of metal and covered with felt cloth. He wears his original outfit, a large mantel with hat with an applied felt heart where is written HAPAG (difficult to read…). The doll has black painted hair, red mouth and side glancing dark eyes hand painted in details, and shows a very sweet smiling facial expression. Lilli Baitz is well known to collectors for her lovely half doll busts, used once as tea cover or lamp or boudoir items, but also produced some different subjects dolls inspired by child stories! From my researches I found that this character was called Romeo, and some similar dolls are also shown on my Baitz book.
Museal piece, really a rare find for your collection, great friend to add to your Baitz half doll boudoir dolls!!!

Origin: this doll is made in Germany, he has been sculptured by the great artist Lilli Baitz in the early 1930. The head is marked with the number 851 impressed, as shown in photo.

Conditions: The character is in good shape, the only flow is a light chip on the nose, which can be easily restored, and some small pin holes or wear on the felt original outfit, as can be expected for an old doll.
