Nei ruggenti anni venti le ragazze avevano tagli di capelli sbarazzini, alla maschietto, volevano fumare come gli uomini e vestire in pantaloni....le flapper girls sono molto ricercate come bambole, questa è stata prodotta in Inghilterra dalla ditta Dean's Rag Book. Ha il corpo in tessuto e velluto imbottito, la testa con i capelli a caschetto dipinti, splendidi occhi blu, e indossa un cappello a tesa larga che riprende lo stesso motivo floreale dei pantaloni a zampa d'elefante. Perfino la collana è originale. Questa ragazzina impertinente gira in bicicletta, ma sta già pensando di prendere la patente....La bambola è rara e pubblicata sul libro The Collector's Guide to British Dolls by Colette Mansell a pagina 67. E' chiamata the Lido lady in quanto indossa un abbigliamento da spiaggia tipico dell'epoca 1920-30.
During the roaring 20s girls were used to have short cut hair, to smoke and wear pantaloons as men...flapper dolls are today highly sought after, and this one as been made in England by Dean's Rag Book factory. She has fabric and velvet stuffed body, head with hand painted hair, wonderful bleu eyes, and she wears a large hat with the same flowers motif as pantaloons. Even the collier is original. This stunning girl is riding a bicycle, but she is already thinking to take the licence to drive cars ...This is a rare doll, shown at page 67 of the book The Collector's Guide to British Dolls by Colette Mansell. She is called The Lido Lady as she is wearing the typical beach costume of the years 1920-30.
